When Allen first came to OhioMeansJobs Marion County, he was working seasonal employment that left him living paycheck to paycheck, struggling to make ends meet. But he brought with him the desire and determination for change.
Allen worked with our Employment Specialists to create an employment and training plan tailored to his goals, that led him to enroll and graduate from Tri-Rivers Career Center's Industrial Maintenance Program.
After working with OhioMeansJobs Marion County, Allen upgraded his skills with a vocational certificate, found a career he loved in an in-demand field, and was able to provide for his family with a sustainable wage.
